Breakfast bagel sliders are my go-to for those busy mornings when everyone needs something filling, fast, and so, so satisfying! The mix of savory sausage, fluffy scrambled eggs, and gooey melted cheddar all piled into a mini everything bagel and topped with garlic butter? Trust me, this hits all the right spots. It’s a simple recipe that feels special, and it’s become a favorite in my household for good reason.

Why You’ll Love Breakfast Bagel Sliders

The garlic butter on top makes these sliders irresistible, even for picky eaters.

Quick prep: Just a few minutes of assembly, and these sliders are ready to bake!

Customizable: Swap in your favorite cheese or even try spicy sausage patties for a kick.

Perfect for busy mornings: Hearty and filling, these are ideal for grabbing on the go.

Crowd-pleaser: The garlic butter on top makes them irresistible, even for picky eaters.

Ingredients & Substitutions

To make these breakfast bagel sliders, you’ll need mini everything bagels, eggs, sausage patties, cheddar cheese slices, butter, and garlic salt.

Ingredients for Breakfast Bagel Sliders arranged on a surface.
  • Bagels: Mini everything bagels add a lot of flavors, but plain or sesame works well too if you’re not into everything seasoning.
  • Cheese: Cheddar is classic here, but feel free to use any melting cheese you like—Swiss, pepper jack, or gouda could all be fun twists.
  • Sausage: Spicy sausage patties can add an extra kick, or try a vegetarian sausage patty for a meatless version.
  • Butter and garlic salt: Essential for that garlicky, buttery finish! Adjust the garlic salt if you’re sensitive to saltiness.

How to make the best breakfast bagel sliders

Preheat the oven to 375°F. In a large pan, cook the sausage patties over medium-high heat until fully cooked and browned on both sides. Set aside.

In the same pan, scramble the eggs in the leftover sausage grease. Turn off the heat.

In a 9x13 baking dish, place the bottoms of the bagels, and add a slice of cheese on each.

Expert Tips

Toast for extra crunch: For a crispier top, pop the bagels in the oven by themselves for a few minutes before assembling. This little step adds a great texture contrast to the soft insides.

Press down gently before baking: Once assembled, press the tops of the bagels down slightly to help everything stay together. This prevents the tops from separating when you’re slicing and serving.

Use a spatula for easy serving: These sliders can be a little wobbly if you just grab them, so use a spatula to lift them out of the baking dish neatly.

Add a hint of spice: If your crowd likes a little heat, try adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the butter mixture before brushing on top. It’s subtle but delicious!

Serving Suggestions

These breakfast bagel sliders are delicious on their own, but if you’re looking to round them out, try these ideas:

  • Pair with hash browns or breakfast potatoes: Add a hearty side to make it a full breakfast.
  • Serve with fresh fruit or a smoothie: A refreshing balance to the savory sliders.
  • Add a little hot sauce or ketchup: Perfect for those who love a bit of extra flavor.
  • Enjoy with a side of Greek yogurt or cottage cheese: Great for an added protein boost to keep you full all morning.
