Equipment

  • 1 8x8 inch baking pan

Ingredients

  • 1 box brownie mix any brand
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons creamy peanut butter

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 320°F (160°C). Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix, egg, water, and vegetable oil. Whisk or beat with an electric mixer until smooth.
  • Pour the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  • Drizzle the peanut butter over the batter. Use a knife to swirl the peanut butter into the brownie batter gently.
  • Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Let the brownies cool in the pan on a wire rack for about 15 minutes before slicing into squares and serving.

Notes

  • For fudgier brownies, avoid overbaking.
  • Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • Refrigerate leftovers for a firmer texture if desired.
