Ingredients & Substitutions
To make these breakfast bagel sliders, you’ll need mini everything bagels, eggs, sausage patties, cheddar cheese slices, butter, and garlic salt.

- Bagels: Mini everything bagels add a lot of flavors, but plain or sesame works well too if you’re not into everything seasoning.
- Cheese: Cheddar is classic here, but feel free to use any melting cheese you like—Swiss, pepper jack, or gouda could all be fun twists.
- Sausage: Spicy sausage patties can add an extra kick, or try a vegetarian sausage patty for a meatless version.
- Butter and garlic salt: Essential for that garlicky, buttery finish! Adjust the garlic salt if you’re sensitive to saltiness.
How to make the best breakfast bagel sliders
Preheat the oven to 375°F. In a large pan, cook the sausage patties over medium-high heat until fully cooked and browned on both sides. Set aside.

In the same pan, scramble the eggs in the leftover sausage grease. Turn off the heat.
In a 9x13 baking dish, place the bottoms of the bagels, and add a slice of cheese on each.

Add a sausage patty on top of each bagel bottom, then layer with scrambled eggs and a second slice of cheese.

Top with the bagel tops. Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl, mix in the garlic salt, and brush the garlic butter over the tops of the bagels.

Bake for 5-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Lift out with a spatula to serve and enjoy!

Expert Tips
Toast for extra crunch: For a crispier top, pop the bagels in the oven by themselves for a few minutes before assembling. This little step adds a great texture contrast to the soft insides.
Press down gently before baking: Once assembled, press the tops of the bagels down slightly to help everything stay together. This prevents the tops from separating when you’re slicing and serving.
Use a spatula for easy serving: These sliders can be a little wobbly if you just grab them, so use a spatula to lift them out of the baking dish neatly.
Add a hint of spice: If your crowd likes a little heat, try adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the butter mixture before brushing on top. It’s subtle but delicious!

Serving Suggestions
These breakfast bagel sliders are delicious on their own, but if you’re looking to round them out, try these ideas:
- Pair with hash browns or breakfast potatoes: Add a hearty side to make it a full breakfast.
- Serve with fresh fruit or a smoothie: A refreshing balance to the savory sliders.
- Add a little hot sauce or ketchup: Perfect for those who love a bit of extra flavor.
- Enjoy with a side of Greek yogurt or cottage cheese: Great for an added protein boost to keep you full all morning.
